The Role: We are looking for an Event Manager to join our stadium team and take a senior role in delivering an outstanding visitor experience for all major events held at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham. The Stadium Event Manager will oversee the effective event management and delivery, including operational planning, contract management, licensing and administration both in the stadium bowl and the fan village. The role will line manage and work closely with the Stadium Events Coordinator and hold day to day responsibility for key stakeholder relationships including internally with the Safety, Commercial, Finance, Facilities and Rugby Events & Competitions departments and Twickenham Experience Limited, and externally with contractors and stadium hirers, whether for the delivery or rugby, concerts or other major events. Some key responsibilities include: Collaborating with the Head of Stadium Events about operational planning, management, administration, and quality delivery of stadium events. Acting as the Stadium department point of contact for event management issues and ensure all internal people are briefed on events and contract obligations. Planning and leading relevant internal and external planning and debrief meetings. Coordinating the fan village planning, build, event day management and de-rig. Managing operational elements of the event day experience, working closely with other departments to continually improve the customer experience Liaising with sports presentation suppliers to ensure stadium show, big screens, and LED assets are operational on match days and meet all commercial, marketing, and stadium requirements. Working with the Finance department to ensure that event budget information is produced and managed in a timely manner. Assisting the Legal department and relevant department leads with development of contracts for new business and stadium hirers, ensuring that they meet client and RFU operational needs. Working with the Procurement team to ensure all relevant supply contracts are in place and tendered if necessary. Developing excellent working relationships with clients; new and existing concert promoters and event partners, providing them with excellent assistance in managing their events. Overseeing all branding requirements for stadium hires including installation and de-rig. Utilising the digital mapping software to show how events are laid out, working with internal and external partners to capture a complete picture. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: The skills and attributes outlined in this description are not exhaustive and we welcome candidates who can bring different relevant experiences to the role. Essential: Substantial experience of managing or organising large events, preferably within a stadium or sports/music event environment with a strong understanding of current industry best practice. Strong project management skills, with the ability to work on several projects at once, prioritising and communicating priorities. Understanding of operational installations and set up, with specific reference to health and safety legislation, in particular the CDM regulations. Credible experience of working with agencies, contractors, and a diverse range of stakeholders. Proven success at building and managing excellent working relationships through strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Strong collaboration, influencing and partner management skills with the ability to challenge constructively. Experience of building, inspiring, leading and managing a team, setting high standards of performance with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and with high levels of autonomy. Proven time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Effective communicator able to confidently deliver clear written and verbal information. Excellent judgement, a can-do, problem-solving attitude and ability to think creatively to reach desired goals.
