We are looking for a HR Manager for a multi-site manufacturing and distribution business. The company have grown considerably over the last few years with much more planned. They now need a HR Manager who is very operational and can identify the gaps to design and implement HR policies across the group.
There will be an education piece to deliver, establishing accountabilities and ownership with regards to people management enabling them to grow and develop at the same time supporting and advising line managers to handle difficult and challenging situations creating a consistent approach across the business.
Succession planning and staff retention are a key feature. They are on track to achieve their forecasted growth with much more planned. To do this they want to keep the best and attract talent from across the manufacturing sector. You’ll drive positive change and performance improvement and increase awareness of resources available to each department to help them achieve their goals.
This is a gritty job, you’ll need to roll your sleeves up and be as comfortable operating strategically as you are embedded in the day to day as is the nature of entrepreneurial companies.
What you’ll need
A Manufacturing background is essential, in addition they are looking for CIPD Level 7 and ideally you’ll have group or multi-site senior management experience and can evidence influence along with more tactical involvement and coaching and mentoring.
