The Croydon Health Visiting Team are looking for Community Nursery Nurses with a NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/CACHE or a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice (OU) or a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years to join our Health Visiting team.
Experience should include working with children and families in a variety of settings and the candidate must have an excellent knowledge of child development and ideally have some experience of working with children who have additional needs. The role will involve delivering key aspects of the Healthy Child Programme as part of a Health Visiting team. These aspects will include supporting families with infant feeding, child development and child health clinics, both in group settings and on an individual basis. Computer skills are essential, as is a positive attitude to change.
You will have good communication skills, be a team player and be well organised in order to work effectively, in partnership with colleagues in Children's Centres in the area, the Early Years Childcare providers and key health professionals. Successful applicants must be able to travel between clients’ homes and Croydon Health Services sites and Best Start children’s centres.
Main Duties are
• To assist the Health Visiting teams in providing a comprehensive Health Visiting service to Children,Young People and Families within a designated locality population in Croydon.
• To support the Health Visiting team in the delivery of a family centred Healthy Child Programme within a designated locality.
• To provide support and ongoing assessment to Children aged 0-5 years and their families as delegated by Health Visitor/Team Leader working in partnership with local agencies
