OVERALL SUMMARY
At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and are open to discuss flexible work options to help you balance your work and home life.
Join the Close Brothers Motor Finance Team where you will provide leadership vision to a team of sales professionals whose role it is to grow, maintain and develop a dealer landscape, within a set geographical region, to sell Close Brothers Motor Finance (CBMF) products.
Our ideal Sales Manager will be able to work collaboratively between Operations as well as wider departments and change functions, to provide the best overall service to both our dealer partners and end customer, as well as being responsible for implementing the regional sales strategy and successfully driving it forward to support the region in its short, medium and long-term growth plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop a realistic Sales strategy in partnership with the Account Managers for each territory to maximise the opportunities available using our CRM (Salesforce.com). This should focus on a win, retain and grow plan to ensure we capitalise on each area of our opportunity.
* Ensure sales targets are achieved by product type to the set KPIs – along with delivering the overall business budget.
* Use industry knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities within the market to develop our lending proposition and drive internal engagement and knowledge.
* Own the region’s funding strategy and acquisition of new funded dealer accounts with continued oversight of existing funded dealer accounts to ensure that the business has minimum risk exposure.
* Develop market intelligence to inform on product, promotion and pricing decisions.
* Ensure that dealer funding levels are in-line with company expectations.
* Recruit, train and employ high calibre diverse employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements, while working with the Recruitment Business Partner to create external pipelines of talent.
* Coach, mentor, and develop staff the CBMF way, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
* Hold regular (at least monthly) ROADMAP one-to-ones with direct reports ensuring that feedback is provided in a constructive way whilst working with the employee to facilitate personal development in line with the sales career pathways.
* Provide observation and feedback on dealer field calls, to enable the Account Manager to support AM development and performance.
* Working with the Head of Sales and HR Business Partner, develop a culture of high performance and personal development as a foundation for excellent organisational performance.
* Ensure a ‘right first time’ approach where all information and data is recorded accurately for high quality and successful outcomes for Dealer Partners and the end customer.
* Improve relationship management to ensure retention and growth of existing accounts.
* Support the Account Managers (and potentially a Key Account Manager) in development of significant accounts, sensitive cases and partners in the region.
* Visit Partners in the region with the aim of strengthening and securing relationships
* Assess, identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance to applicable internal policies, industry Codes and external regulation e.g. consumer credit, financial crime and data protection.
* Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to.
