Specialist Physiotherapist – Pelvic Health

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available to join the dynamic Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team based at the University Hospital of Wales. This Specialised Physiotherapist role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to develop their knowledge and skills in the management of Pelvic health patients, with involvement in maternity services, including treating patients on the postnatal wards and delivering education classes.
Main duties of the job
The role will give you the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in the specialist area of Pelvic Health. You will manage an outpatient caseload treating pregnancy-related musculoskeletal presentations and pelvic floor dysfunction across the Cardiff & Vale University Health Board sites. The successful candidate will be fully inducted and mentored to help develop their knowledge and skills in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. You will also be involved with maternity services, including treating patients on the postnatal wards.

You will be involved in the delivery of the team in-service training programme and may assist with the supervision of other team members and the provision of education to other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
* HCPC Registration
* Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Experience
* Relevant post-registration experience in the physiotherapy management of patients with obstetric-related musculoskeletal conditions and pelvic floor dysfunction
* Previous clinical experience relevant to the post
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of providing clinical supervision
Skills
* Ability to demonstrate specialist clinical skills within the field of Pelvic Health, including obstetric-related musculoskeletal conditions and pelvic floor dysfunction
