Seven Restaurant has been at the forefront of the restaurant scene in Derbyshire for the last 10 years and we are looking for an energetic and hospitality driven Events Co-ordinator to work with the team to drive the restaurant forward. We are looking for a pro active person who loves the hospitality industry and working with guests and the team. As part of the management team you will work alongside the team to ensure what you promise in the organisation of events is delivered.
What does the job entail?
* Be the face of the restaurant and portray a positive and 'can do' attitude.
* Be fully aware of what is possible in the restaurant and the various private dining rooms.
* The organising and planning events in the restaurant.
* Liaising with the front of house management team and the kitchen to ensure no details are ever missed.
* Reporting weekly on the enquiry, prospective and confirmed bookings.
* Respond to all enquiries and correspondence in a timely manner ensuring all queries are answered concisely.
* Control all event accounts and manage the small number of invoices that go through the events side of the business.
* Ensure all information is up to date for all bookings.
* Follow up with organisers to get feedback on their events.
* Work with the senior management team to review the financials of the business and the vital importance parties and events play.
* Manage the back office element of Res Diary.
* Assist in the management of the EPOS system.
* Respond to various reviews from ResDiary and Trip Advisor
* Oversee the ordering of tertiary items for the restaurant.
What you need to have?
* Experience in fast paced operations.
* An excellent understanding of what it takes to make events special.
* Be extremely well organised with the ability to think ahead.
* Have had administrative experience in the past.
* Proof of working and being an active part of a successful team.
* Good understanding of restaurant financials including beverage and wage cost.
* Have a “can do” attitude and never get flustered in any situation.
* Have an acute understanding of allergens and the importance to get the detail right.
* Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure.
* Have excellent communication skills both oral and written with the team and guests.
* Be well presented.
* Computer literate - Outlook, Word, Excel and Res Diary or Open Table.
