ACES Academies Trust are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Grounds Maintenance team working at several primary schools and a prestigious secondary school with a Grade I listed building and stunning, expansive grounds. This school is set within a historic estate, providing a unique work environment filled with heritage and natural beauty.

Salary: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Scale 4, Points 7–11, Namely £25,584 - £27,269
Positions Available: Full-Time & Part-Time applicants will be considered with possibilities of progression.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or gardening
A proactive attitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Respect for the historical nature of the estate and listed buildings
Excellent work ethic

The main responsibilities include:
Mowing, aeration and fertilising: tractor mounted and pedestrian machinery.
Line Marking: Initial setting out and mark and weekly over marking.
Hedge cutting, strimming.
Driving a tipper vehicle or similar.
All sports surface preparation including grass, hardstanding and artificial turf
Winter sports pitch preparation and maintenance to include synthetic sports surfaces
Leaf clearing, litter picking, bin clearance, and debris clearing
Goal post erection, dismantling, storage and maintenance
Snow clearing, salt spreading and gritting
Roping off and preparing for events
Carry out car parking duties as required
To keep borders, highway and footpaths clear and free from litter at all times
Working flexible hours when required
Undertaking any other tasks as considered reasonable by the Grounds Manager
Basic maintenance of the Grounds Machinery
To assist in the efficient running of the Grounds Workshop
Liaising with and supporting the gardens team as appropriate.
