Operational Buyer Spennymoor, UK We are recruiting for an Operational Buyer to join the UK Purchasing team based in Spennymoor. You will take responsibility for material availability in the allocated commodities and assure optimised stock levels are maintained. Main Duties include: Placement of material orders for allocated commodities and identified demands via SAP. Control of order acknowledgements and follow up in case of nonconformities. Monitor goods incoming dates and escalate to suppliers in case of necessity. Assure that demand quantities are correct via direct planning function of the MRP or close daily interaction with planning functions in production location. Support implementation and assure usage of workflow facilitation tools such as EDI. Monitor purchasing KPI’s and assure continuous supplier performance and stock level improvements. Manage variances of orders, invoices and goods receipt. Clarification and problem solving in connection with blocked invoices. Cooperation with Quality department in case of claims. Maintain supplier and material master data in close alignment with Commodity management. We are looking for… Buyer experience gained from a high-volume manufacturing environment. Good communication skills with internal and external stake holders. Strong MS Office skills are essential in this role. SAP experience would be desirable.
