Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust
If you are looking to work in a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment that challenges your skills and allows you to progress and professionally develop, then this is the opportunity for you. We are based in a vibrant area of the North East which includes historical sites, beautiful coastlines, and world-class eateries.
We are a community treatment team based in Gateshead, comprised of nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, support workers, peer support workers, and medical and leadership staff. We deliver high-quality evidence-based interventions to the population of our area who require support with psychosis and non-psychosis related difficulties. We provide both individual and group interventions, and there is a plethora of training and support opportunities available to our staff members.
Main Duties of the Job
As part of the Gateshead East Community Treatment Team, you will be encouraged to grow and develop in your role and contribute to the development of the service. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Responsible for the assessment and management of casework of service users with substantial and complex needs.
2. Deliver evidence-based clinical and psychologically based interventions.
3. Coordinate treatment planning, interventions, reviews, and discharge planning.
4. Complete duty days supporting the CTT when other clinicians are not available.
5. Work alongside other agencies to support service users in integrating into the community and addressing their biopsychosocial needs.
We support staff in taking up accredited training in evidence-based therapies. You will develop your skills by working with service users who have a range of complex mental health needs with associated risks, demonstrating experience in planning and delivering care in collaboration with service users, families, and their carers.
