We are looking for a Trainee Seed Certification Officer to join the Frontier team, based at Sandy, on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for seed certification for Frontier Agriculture and assist in a busy Grain Laboratory when required, whilst upholding Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Cycle to Work Scheme, employee retail discount scheme and free eye test vouchers About You Knowledge of UK Seed Certification processes is desirable, but training will be given to the right candidate Seed Analyst Qualification is desirable, but training will be given to the right candidate High degree of accuracy and attention to detail A flexible approach to working hours during peak season Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally Able to work on own initiative, finding resolutions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers Your Role As a Trainee Seed Certification Officer your role will involve: Carrying out all aspects of Seed Certification to enable production at our Sandy site Keying seed orders as and when required Understanding all areas of Seed Production from Intake to Outload Analysing seed, commercial grain and pulses for both Frontier and third-party customers Ensuring procedures are followed for commercial grain testing Recording samples on to the computer system and inputting data Carrying out research for external companies Checking equipment is working accurately and calibrate in a timely manner Ensuring all records are accurate and any anomalies are highlighted to the Laboratory Manager Crop Inspection and seed sampling as and when required About Us Frontier is a successful and growing business.
