The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing solutions for both prototype and high-volume production. This role involves optimising manufacturing processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of manufacturing projects. You will play a vital role in improving production efficiency and product quality, supporting a variety of projects across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement manufacturing solutions for high-volume production and prototype stages.
* Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using industry-standard methodologies such as PFMEA, DFMA, and process mapping.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, engineering, and procurement to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
* Create, maintain, and update work instruction documents for assembly processes.
* Apply design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles to optimise manufacturing processes and product designs.
* Lead troubleshooting and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure operational excellence.
* Support technology transfer projects and ensure seamless integration between internal teams and external partners.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process optimisation, tooling development, and production efficiency.
* Strong understanding of process improvement tools, such as PFMEA, DFMA, SPC, and process mapping.
* Familiarity with automated production lines and manufacturing automation technologies.
* Ability to lead and manage projects across different teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
