About the role
We are embarking on an exciting new project, along with a partner organisation, to deploy fibre connectivity across the Manor Royal Business Park in Crawley. This can make a huge difference to attracting business and jobs investment into Manor Royal, one of the largest business districts in Southeast England.
We need a confident and experienced project manager to run this innovative project, working with a wide range of stakeholders. This high-profile project sits within the Council’s (thanks to DLUHC government funding) and is therefore subject to high levels of scrutiny, so a really strong understanding of project governance and confidence in dealing with very senior stakeholders is important.
We’re looking for someone with both excellent project management skills and experience and expertise in the project management of the delivery of fibre (FTTP). This includes experience in dealing with the civil engineering aspects of this type of work.
The procurement elements of the project are complex, and whilst there is significant support in place to manage this, a strong understanding of public sector procurement processes would be an advantage.
If you have the skills and experience, like the challenge of working on an innovative, high-profile project and want to make a difference to our town, we’d love to hear from you.
