Highly regarded main contractor are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their well-established team in the North East. For this position you must have worked on commercial build/refurb between £2m-£30m.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing ITPs to ensure proper implementation on-site.
2. Comparing site specifications with expected progress and verifying the accurate completion of site quality records.
3. Conducting physical site inspections to identify any discrepancies and potential defects.
4. Recording defects using existing system (Field View).
5. Ensuring construction is aligned with the design, without any deviations.
6. Proactively identifying potential issues with air tightness, fire-stopping, sound attenuation, moisture, and water ingress.
7. Offering guidance to site teams on quality expectations for finishes.
Requirements:
1. At least 10 years experience ideally from a Site/Project Management experience.
2. A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from dealing with strategic issues at conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
3. Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
