An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced full-time Breast Care Nurse to join this well-established team.
The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to help deliver an expert service. The focus of this role will be to provide clinical skills in screening, diagnostic, and follow-up clinics.
The post holder will hold a breast clinical examination qualification. The ability to manage side effects of treatment and to request imaging is essential. An ability to manage own caseload while working closely with the surgeons and oncologists is required.
You will be committed to the delivery of high-quality holistic patient care and will play an active part in clinical practice, education, research, audit, and professional activities related to breast cancer care.
Main duties of the job
This will involve a clinical caseload where you can demonstrate high-quality nursing care to patients with breast-related problems. Experience at band 7 in a breast care nursing setting is required.
Qualifications
* First level related degree.
* Evidence of specialist post-basic training and education.
* Advanced communication skills.
* Non-medical prescribing qualification.
* A recognised teaching qualification.
* Related master's degree in clinical breast examination.
* Family history training.
* Mastalgia clinic training.
