Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with Business Assurance, Field, Actuarial and other colleagues, you will investigate and resolve individual client advice or product-related issues that may become complaints if no action is taken.
* Review all evidence; including documentation, recollections of those involved and what would be deemed reasonable.
* Ensure St. James’s Place treats its clients fairly by reviewing cases equitably, effectively and promptly.
* Proactively identify and escalate sensitive issues, to ensure senior-level awareness at an early stage.
* Review what has gone wrong, identify what needs to be done to correct the situation and make the correction with as little disturbance to the client as possible.
* Protect the client relationship whilst balancing commercial considerations.
Who we’re looking for:
* You’ll have strong experience from a complaint handling or quality control role gained within the financial services industry.
* A good technical understanding of products, including life, pensions and investments – as well as Trusts and all types of Tax.
* CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards), or equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to make decisions and clearly document reasoning and action required.
* You’ll stay calm under pressure, demonstrating effective time management, with the ability to react to changes as they present.
