Join Our Team as a Human Resources Business Partner at Network Rail!
Are you passionate about driving a high-performance culture and making a real impact on people’s lives? We at Network Rail are looking for a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Business Partner to join us on a permanent basis at our Basingstoke office where you’ll be the heart of our Wessex operational teams, working closely with senior leaders to deliver our People Plan and HR strategy. About the Role:
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll work under the direction of the Head/Senior HR Business Partner to provide value-added HR support to our business leaders. You’ll be instrumental in implementing our HR strategy, focusing on talent management, succession planning, and change management to drive business objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
We offer flexible/hybrid working arrangements, with 3 days per week in the office, with the opportunity to work around the patch to support the business.

About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities
1. Working closely with the supported business, to implement and deliver the HR Strategy/People Plan to include talent, succession planning and change management.
2. Build strong relationships with the supported business senior leadership team and other relevant stakeholders. Coach, advise and challenge business leaders on HR issues as required.
3. Provide operational HR support on organisation change, senior appointments, salary and bonus, graduate or apprentice programmes.
4. Deliver client responsive, cost effective and integrated people solutions that address key business objectives.
5. Reinforce the ownership of people management by the business and line managers.
6. Work with the broader HR function to provide the best solutions for the business.
7. Liaise with HR Business Partners in other areas for collaborative solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Demonstrates strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs.
2. Proven experience of working in partnership and building strong working relationships with senior managers.
3. Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions.
4. Experience of coaching and influencing senior managers.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
6. Excellent technical HR Knowledge - CIPD qualified or relevant experience.
7. Proven track record of operating in a complex working environment.
8. Understanding of project management principles.
9. Experience of managing projects to successful conclusion.
10. Experience of working within a unionised environment.
