Onsite Technician, Inventory Services
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Shift: Mon – Fri, days
Wage: ~$20-21 per hour doe

What we’re looking for:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* 1+ years of inventory replenishment, material handling, and/or customer service experience required.
* Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
* Covid-19 & flu vaccinations required.
* High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional, can-do demeanor required.
* Effective communication in writing and verbally with both the customer and internal contacts required.
* Able to lift 50 lbs. required.
* Strong problem-solving skills required.
* Proactive thinking with the ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage and motivate, in order to meet goals.
* High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
* Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances required.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
* Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment.
* Manage customer’s point of use or stockroom inventory.
* Responsible for logistical activities such as receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriers.
* May handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials.
* Basic order entry and follow-up on existing backorders.
* Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
* Pull and Pick tickets to replenish Point of Use areas and Forward Pick Areas as needed/required.
* Training on internal inventory management system.
* Training provided on customer SAP system.
* Printing tags.
* Training provided on motorized and manual equipment as needed/required.
* Supporting warehouse needs, as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
