The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. - Ensure that agreed standards of practice within the area are maintained. - Maintain personal contact with patients, other health care disciplines, relatives and visitors. - Commitment to provide training and share knowledge to those around in the team and Mentorship support of new staff and student nurses. -To undertake appropriate enhanced roles, following the necessary training e.g. IV drug administration, ECG recording, Advanced Scrub Practitioner (ASP) Role -Ensure safe custody and administration of drugs, in accordance with Trust Policy. -Ensure that they can safely admit/discharge or transfer patients from theatre and or recovery. -Responsible for the management and co-ordination of theatre activities in the absence of more senior staff.
