There are 76 beds spread over seven wards offering a diverse range of services including Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), eating disorders, acute and rehab and recovery. This offers opportunities to gain experience of working in a number of different services.
The hospital is overseen by an approachable and dynamic senior management team and has excellent links with local universities, which provides plenty of opportunities to gain experience of dealing with complex cases.
We are recruiting for enthusiastic and highly skilled Registered Nurses for our Eating Disorder Service.
Lotus Ward is a ten-bedded, mixed-gendered, specialist eating disorder unit that runs a diverse therapy programme. We are dedicated to providing personalized anorexia treatment, support, and therapy. Patients admitted to the ward for treatment will primarily have a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa but may have co-morbid mental or physical health conditions such as Autism, PTSD, or Personality Disorders. The MDT works in collaboration to create a personalised treatment plan for all patients.
The focus of our unit is to help patients recover from their eating disorders and gradually get them back into healthy eating behaviours and to be able to have a good relationship with food and their weight.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
1. Registered nurse with active NMC PIN with 12 months post-qualifying experience
2. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
3. Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
4. Previous experience of working in an Eating Disorder setting would be preferred, however not necessary.
