CHC Helicopters is looking for an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Advisor to come join the team in Aberdeen This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week) position within the Central Safety and Compliance Department where the successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and support to the various business units and functional managers to deliver the ESG policy. Developing and implementing ESG-related initiatives would also be a fundamental part of the role. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation in a very rewarding area of aviation The key responsibilities of the ESG Advisor are: Assess and monitor the company’s ESG performance, advising on priorities and coordinating new initiatives in ESG Work across the organisation to inform, educate, and ensure that key stakeholders understand the role that they (and their teams) play in ESG Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and supply chain partners to support and deliver ESG commitments Prepare regular internal and external ESG reports, including annual company emissions reporting, carbon trust audits and company disclosures with CDP, EcoVadis and others Understand our customers’ ESG requirements and help translate this to base, national and central level engagement and extraction of data With support of the communications team, develop appropriate communications regarding the company’s ESG strategy and progress Engage with the broader ESG community to build partnerships and share best practices Identify and manage grant applications across multiple geographical locations May include other duties as may reasonably be required by the organisation, in line with existing skills, knowledge, abilities and personal development opportunities The ideal candidate will have the following: Have proven knowledge and experience in ESG Demonstrated experience of ESG reporting within a global organisation is desirable. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 is desirable A recognised ESG qualification is desirable A passion for driving social and environmental change The ability to build relationships internally and with external stakeholders to successfully execute action plans that meet strategic objectives Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills Show support for CHC’s values, particularly demonstrating the highest levels of honesty and integrity Must have the right to live and work in the UK
