Being a Visitor Experience Officer for the National Trust is all about people - connecting with them, inspiring them, and making sure they have the best possible day when they come to visit.
This role is permanent, full-time, including working bank holidays and on average one weekend in three. The role is based at Dyrham Park with frequent working at Prior Park Landscape Garden in Bath.
What it's like to work here
You'll be reporting to a Senior Visitor Experience Officer, working in a core team of 7 across Dyrham Park and Prior Park Landscape Garden.
Dyrham Park is 270 acres of ancient deer park, with formal garden and Baroque mansion house. Dyrham provides something for everyone all-year round with a school holiday programme of family events, and term-time activities for under 5s. Adults are encouraged to visit across multiple seasons with programmes like Tulip Mania, Escape into Autumn and Christmas through the Ages highlighting seasonal moments.
Prior Park Landscape Garden is a beautiful and intimate 18th-century landscape garden in Bath with one of only four Palladian bridges of its style found in the world. Popular with locals, a newly reopened lower entrance closer to the city centre means they can make the most of the seasonal moments. Highlights include wild garlic, and exploring history through the Festival of Archaeology. School holidays are celebrated with Easter adventures in Nature and other seasonal trails.
