How you will make an impact
The Medical Administration Registrar will work under the direction of the Group Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance and Director of Medical Services to facilitate the development and implementation of robust medical administrative systems at Cabrini Health and develop expertise in matters relating to medical administration. This is a busy Medical Administration Registrar position in a large not-for-profit Catholic based private health organisation that offers training in a broad spectrum of medical administration tasks and duties.
The Medical Administration Registrar will be expected to contribute to the ongoing education, research and quality assurance programme as directed, and enhance the stature of the institute within the framework of the Mission, Values, and Vision, and the Behaviours that matter to Cabrini.
This is an onsite role covering 43 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
5. Participating in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical governance/quality improvement program including clinical audit, risk management, and accreditation- related activities
6. Assisting with patient complaints, incident management (including SAPSEs, IDCRs and RCAs) and medico-legal requests
7. Supporting the implementation of ACSQHC National Standards
8. Developing and reviewing clinical policy and procedures
9. Support the review and introduction of new technologies and clinical practices across the organisation
10. Participating in management of recruitment and credentialing
11. Assisting with the management of our junior medical workforce, including with recruitment, on boarding, accreditation and financial tasks
12. Participating in Research Governance activities
13. Providing support to the Group Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance and Director of Medical Services, and undertake duties as requested
About you
This position would suit a senior RACMA candidate and you will also require the following:
14. Have unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
15. Be enrolled as a candidate of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators
16. Be able to take direction and willing to learn from nominated supervisors and other senior members of the team
17. Have a commitment to the maintenance and further development of skills applicable to the area of Medical Administration, including involvement in further education and quality assurance activities
18. Have the ability to prioritise work assigned, manage workflow, and complete assignments on a timely basis
19. Have the ability to assess situations, consider possible solutions, make and communicate decisions and take the appropriate action
20. Be competent in utilising oral and written skills in presentation of ideas and listing to others
21. Be confident to take risks in challenging assumptions, generating, and implementing imaginative solutions that transform the status quo, as well as be proactive in dealing with change by managing potential conflict, supporting the team, and monitoring progress
22. Have a valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
