This school are looking to appoint an autism support worker who can support students' educational journey, helping them to develop their independence and confidence. Position: Autism Support Worker Location: Hassocks Hours: Full time Salary: £12.90 - £14 per hour Benefits: competitive pay, working in a school with a fantastic reputation, personalised CPD given by the school, your birthday off Key Responsibilities: Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs. Support students in their learning activities and encourage participation. Help to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members. Foster positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and strengths. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress. Requirements: Experience working with young people with autism is highly desirable. A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.
