Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Cost Manager to join a client-focused team within the Leeds or Sheffield office. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen our Cost Management team.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive candidate to take responsibility for providing all core Quantity Surveying services on a number of interesting projects, for a number of clients across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals.
* Preparation of elemental cost plans.
* Providing advice and view in respect of our client development plans and expectations.
* Providing advice on procurement strategy.
* Preparing and issuing tender documents.
* Scrutinising and verifying applications for interim payments.
* Producing cost reports and cost forecasting.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
* MRICS.
Experience:
* Strong technical delivery experience.
* Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
* Strong feasibility and cost planning experience.
* Pre and post contract experience of a range of schemes.
* Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services.
* Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client.
