Soft Goods Design Manager (clothing, interiors & bedding, soft toys & gifts)

Through a real growth spurt as a business, both UK and Internationally, we are looking to recruit a SOFT GOODS DESIGN MANAGER to join our Design Team.
Role of SOFT GOODS DESIGN MANAGER:
Reporting into our Head of Soft Goods, this Design Manager role will manage, develop and inspire a design team (of x1 Senior Designer, x4 Designers and a Print & Pattern Designer) across newborn, baby & infant clothing, plus soft good interiors & bedding, soft toys & gifts.
Key elements to this role include:
1. Develop and implement successful Global & Local design strategies that will resonate and delight the customer, crafting a unique and illustrative handwriting through inspirational collections, products, and storytelling prints.
2. Work collaboratively across Buying/Development and Merchandise Teams to deliver your design strategies, ensuring all design deadlines are met in accordance with agreed cross functional critical paths.
3. Guard and protect the Brand DNA through the design process ensuring a consistent brand language across all product categories, overseeing the design creation process and ensuring we are developing original products and prints.
4. Budget & plan all buying, inspiration, trend & competitor trips for the team and support them in gathering comprehensive research to support colour, trend, fabric, trim and product direction. Stay ahead of new trends, competition and customer expectations.
5. Personally contribute to design projects, taking the team's design concepts to the next level through your design experience, or working on key, or new design scoping projects.
6. Put families at the heart of everything we do in delivering upon Our Purpose through the soft goods we design and bring to life.
