Learning Support Assistant Location : Cranleigh Salary : £85 - £115 per day Job Type: Temporary, Long-term, 5 days a week Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with severe learning disabilities and ASD in a school setting in Cranleigh. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and thrives in a collaborative educational environment. Day-to-day of the role: Assist SEN students in accessing the curriculum, both in a classroom setting and on a one-to-one basis. Support the teacher in fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Encourage students’ independence and social integration. Aid in the development of students’ academic and life skills. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational setting. Understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students. Be comfortable with personal care Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
