An opportunity has arisen for an FY3/4 post within the Department of Dermatology and Research at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. The appointment is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12 months. The post involves working in the Dermatology Department and Research Unit during regular working days, with no night on-call duties.
The remuneration will be aligned with national terms and conditions of service.
Russell’s Hall Hospital is a 764-bed District General Hospital with extensive acute and specialty medicine services, supported by 123 medical consultants.
Main duties of the job
1. Work hours are from 09:00 to 17:00, focusing on clinical duties.
2. Perform clinical work in the Dermatology Department, including diagnosis, skin biopsies, and treatment of patients at hospital, community health centres at Lady’s Walk, Withymoor GP practice, and other clinics designated by the Dudley Group Hospitals.
3. Assist in the day-to-day running of consultant-supervised clinics and day cases in dermatology, review dermatology inpatients, and manage ward referrals from other specialties.
4. Contribute to ongoing and new research studies and clinical trials in Dermatology.
5. Training in research methods and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) will be provided at the start and throughout the post.
6. Perform other similar duties as required to ensure a high-quality service, consistent with the responsibilities outlined above.

Qualifications & Education
* Medical qualification recognized by the GMC
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK
* Advanced Life Support Certificate
Knowledge, Training, and Experience
* Minimum of 12 months UK clinical experience or equivalent
* At least 12 months of experience at Foundation level or equivalent
* Relevant Dermatology experience
Communication & Relationship Skills
* Proven skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, as per GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013)
* Understanding of the importance of communication within a clinical setting
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and value the contributions of other professionals
