Interim Managing Quantity Surveyor
£500-£550 per day
Based on site 4 days a week
Royston, England
We are currently searching on behalf of our client, a leading infrastructure provider for an Interim Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their rapidly expanding business. This position will be based on site in Royston, Hertfordshire on a flexible basis. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with IChemE contracts, but strong NEC contract experience will be considered.
You will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the activities of the contract operation in order to enable the company to meet its commercial objectives and targets. You will provide the Contract Manager/ Commercial Manager with regular and accurate information relating to the status of all aspects of the contract.
What you’ll be doing
• Maintaining Project Pipeline and Order book
• Develop and maintain relationship with clients
• Ensuring all Commercial Activities are performed in an ethical manner while maintaining a competitive position for the business
• Ensure Project Forecasting is accurately reported on a monthly basis
• Ensuring accurate Month - End CVR Reporting
• Reviewing and managing Risk and Opportunities
• Ensure cash-flow is maintained
• Managing Supply Chain Procurement
• Manage and mentor team
• Monthly Commercial Reporting / Health Check Reporting
• Any other reasonable requests as required by Management

What we’re looking for

• Possession of or studying to gain relevant professional qualification.
• Degree Qualification or Similar
• Professional Qualification
• Able to work under pressure and to achieve contractual deadlines
• Time management skills and flexibility for planning and prioritising tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills with good presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to manage and monitor risk
• Honest and reliable with good attention to detail
• Managing and developing team whilst being a good motivator and team builder
