Description
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons for language-focused instruction.
2. Teach 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday, adhering to the BSC syllabus.
3. Complete weekly planners, attendance sheets, and student reports.
4. Participate in academic meetings and INSETT sessions.
5. Assist with placement testing and support the summer team.
6. Remain professional at all times, adhering to BSC Centre rules and regulations.
7. Familiarise yourself with the BSC Young Learners Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and BSC Safeguarding Policy.
8. Report any student absence to the Welfare Team and Director of Studies.
9. Report safeguarding issues if/when they occur.
10. Complete BSC Safeguarding Level 1 Online before starting work.
Minimum Requirements
1. CETLA/ Trinity TESOL/ B.Ed. in TEFL or TESOL/ PGCE in languages with QTS plus experience teaching ESL students.
2. Experience working with young learners is desirable.
3. High level of computer literacy, particularly MS Office, email, and use of databases.
4. Excellent lesson planning skills and adaptability.
5. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
6. Right to work in the UK/EU (depending on the respective centre).
