Working with those aged 16 to 25, you will support 1625 Outreach’s work across Derby, Derbyshire & Sheffield. The role could include engaging with and providing advice and information to young people in: The Community (e.g. parks, youth centres, halls of residence) Education settings (e.g. schools, colleges & universities), Night-time Economy outreach, supporting training with NTE staff and venues (Nightclubs, Street Pastors, Security Staff). 1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults. Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol. As well as receiving extensive training and experience through this role, we hope you will also have lots of fun and enjoyment as you volunteer with us. You’ll also meet other 1625 Outreach volunteers in this role and have an opportunity to contribute to the important work 1625 Outreach does in your community.
