Position: Water Hygiene Technician
Location: Preston
Salary/Package: £25,000 - £28,500 per annum (dependent on experience). 40 hour working week, with overtime available (paid at Double Time). Company Van/Fuel card, Tools, Equipment & PPE provided.
Client: A seasoned facilities management company with a focus on Health and Mental Health Services, who seamlessly integrate all trades to deliver your projects with precision, on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Completion of water hygiene monitoring tasks including temperature checks, dip-slide sampling, bacteriological samples, and inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water calorifiers.
2. Dismantling, de-scaling, disinfection, reassembly, and flushing of showerheads.
3. Cleaning and disinfection of hot & cold-water systems including cold-water storage tanks, calorifiers, tank-fed hot & cold-water down services, pressurised/mains hot & cold-water services, and thermal disinfections.
4. Carrying out or assisting with remedial works to hot and cold-water systems including domestic, industrial, and process systems (if qualified).
5. TMV Servicing & replacement.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Full UK Driving Licence.
2. NVQ Plumbing Level 2 or above (Desirable).
3. HMT04 - Health Services (Desirable - Knowledge & Understanding).
4. CSCS (Desirable).
*Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.*
