About the Position
Contract Type : Full-Time, Permanent,
Salary : up to £35,000 per annum (based on experience)
Start Date : February 2025
You will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering stimulating lessons to pupils in accordance with our curriculum
* Using a variety of methods and approaches to match curricular objectives and the range of pupil needs, and ensure equal opportunity for all pupils
* To manage pupil learning through effective teaching in accordance with the department’s schemes of work and policies.
* To ensure continuity, progression, and cohesiveness in all teaching.
* To use a variety of methods and approaches (including differentiation) to match curricular objectives and the range of pupil needs and ensure equal opportunity for all pupils.
* To work with SEN staff and support staff (including prior discussion and joint planning) in order to benefit from their specialist knowledge and to maximise their effectiveness within lessons.
* To work effectively as a member of the Department team to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
* Setting high expectations for all pupils, to deepen their knowledge and understanding and to maximise their achievement
We are looking for someone who has:
* NQT or QTS or bachelor’s degree in science
* Knowledge of programmes of study and assessment in science with effective teaching and learning strategies.
* Teaching experience up to A Level in a school environment with highly effective teaching of Science across the Key Stages as shown through strong student progress.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and competent user of ICT both in and beyond the classroom.
* Build successful and appropriate relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.
* Confidence, commitment, and integrity and maintain confidentialities
