Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop is our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising of Anglian Water, Morrison Utility Services, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance works together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base.
The IOS alliance works across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation. Incorporating new construction, replacement or repair. Spanning the entirety of Anglian Water's asset base.
To ensure water and water recycling projects in the East Anglia area are managed successfully from inception to completion, ensuring all required standards, regulations, commercial affordability targets and time frames are met, we are looking for Project Engineers to join the team who have a mechanical and/or electrical background.
What you will be doing as our Project Engineer?
Receiving planned and reactive project needs from Anglian Water, you’ll look to drive the development of solutions with a focus on the whole life cost and business risk reduction of the solution whilst ensuring they are compliant with all required standards and regulations.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic role but one where you can add value across the business and to your career aspirations.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Operational/Project Delivery Manager in the delivery of Anglian Water project needs.
2. Assess solutions, complete root cause analysis with consideration to whole life cost and business risk reduction using the Risk, Opportunity, and Value process.
3. Develop solutions in line with corporate governance processes, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements.
4. Ensure all enabling; including the design, programme, cost and CDM requirements are completed ready for construction handover.
5. Complete and comply with all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements to ensure safe working practices.
6. Support the capture of assets and cost in the relevant corporate systems.
Preferable qualifications include APM Project Management (PMQ) or PRINCE2, NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction, and some experience of water and water treatment processes. An Engineering HNC or above or equivalent is also preferred.
Experience in capital delivery within the water sector with a key focus on directly employed staff delivering projects is essential.
Management of the Construction Design Management Regulations is required.
Excellent knowledge and experience in customer management as well as our external stakeholders is necessary.
Be an excellent communicator at all levels to be able to interpret, problem solve and share data at all levels.
Commercial awareness working with multiple stakeholders is expected.
This role sits within our IOS Alliance and is hosted by Kier, Barhale & Morrisons.
