You will be expected to work within a very diverse Radiology Department, based across multiple sites including The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital and the Community Ultrasound Hubs. Main duties of the job Under supervision and direction of the Registered Radiographer/Nurse assist in delivery of the safe high quality care to patients in all areas of Radiology. To carry out clerical and administrative duties in the department as required. At the direction of the Registered Radiographer/Nurse participate fully in the delivery of planned care in all areas of the department including evening and weekend sessions. Assist with general procedures, preparing trolleys for sterile procedures under the supervision of the registered Radiographer/Nurse, responsible for cleaning or disposing of equipment following procedures. Assist in all areas of the department under the supervision of the registered Radiographer/ Nurse or the Senior support workers. This includes completing safety screening of patients and staff in MRI, supervising the CT waiting area to ensure patients are prepared correctly filling the infusion pump and completing the initial check of the contrast agent. Report any concerns regarding patient care.
