Nurse Specialist
Marchmont House Care Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Port Glasgow. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Designing Personalized Care Plans: Work closely with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to create care plans that cater to their unique needs.
* Maintaining Accurate Records: Ensure precise and accurate care documentation, observing daily interactions and conditions to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
* Leading by Example: Organize and guide your team, ensuring every shift begins with clear roles and expectations for delivering excellent care.
* Ensuring Seamless Transitions: Oversee shift handovers, promoting open communication and continuous care.
* Monitoring Resident Health: Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs, prioritizing resident safety and well-being.
* Medication Management: Safely manage and administer medications, adhering strictly to MAR sheets and protocols.
* Fostering Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
* Supporting Independence: Assist residents in daily activities, encouraging autonomy while providing hands-on support as needed.
* Acting on Feedback: Respond promptly to team input, ensuring resident health and well-being remain a top priority.
* Upholding Dignity: Champion the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
* Enhancing Engagement: Facilitate social interactions and activities, enriching the lives of residents and creating a vibrant community.
* Prioritizing Safety: Maintain a vigilant eye on health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all.
* Nutrition Support: Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
* Emergency Response: Be prepared to act swiftly in emergencies, utilizing reflective practices to continually improve our care.
We offer a competitive salary of £20.00 per hour and a range of benefits, including pension, onsite parking, paid PVG, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract). Estimated salary based on 33 contracted hours and 52 weeks per year is approximately £33,840 per annum.
