About the Role
As HR Manager you will manage the day-to-day HR operations across our UK office and support our global workforce, including teams in the US and Canada. This role is focused on providing practical HR support and fostering a positive workplace culture. Reporting to the People & Culture Director, you will manage an HR Advisor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing people related systems, policies and processes for the UK and the US/Canadian offices.
2. Advising and developing managers on people related matters, many of which are managing teams for the first time.
3. Leading and managing recruitment activity ensuring that the employer brand is maintained throughout.
4. Playing a key role in employee engagement activity and communication.
5. Managing and developing the HR Advisor.
Your Approach and Experience
Essential:
1. Proven experience in an HR Manager or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced or creative/agency environment.
2. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practices gained within the private sector.
3. Experience managing or mentoring an HR Advisor or junior HR team members and coaching first time managers.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and engage employees across regions.
5. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Desirable:
1. A basic understanding of HR practices in the US and Canada.
2. CIPD qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Other Information
This role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the office (based in Marlow, Bucks). Although the role is full time, applicants looking for 4 days per week contracts would also be considered.
