Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Apprentice Assistant Accountant/Accounts Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the smooth running of our accounting operations.
Annual wage: £11,648 a year
Hours: Standard Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 (Occasionally 08:00-16:00) 1hr break On-call: 1/2 evenings per week, 35 hours a week

What you'll do at work:
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding invoices
* Raise and record invoices
* Monitor and reconcile bank transactions to ensure accuracy
* Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly/quarterly reports

* General Administrative Support
Training: An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
College or training organisation: LINCOLN COLLEGE
Your training course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2), Equal to GCSE
Course contents:
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your training plan:
* The Apprentice will work towards their Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Standard Level 2.
* The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
* This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only.
