Job Overview
As a Functional Assessor, you will work independently to assess individuals applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit, part of the DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). This involves conducting consultations and producing fair, accurate reports.

Position Details
* Salary: £40,000 per annum
* Type: Permanent
* Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
* Interview claimants to understand their challenges
* Conduct assessments via phone, video, or face-to-face
* Evaluate how disabilities or conditions impact daily functioning
* Produce accurate, concise reports based on clinical evidence
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
* At least 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics)
* Broad clinical knowledge
* Experience with computer software, including Microsoft Office
Essential Qualifications
Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Member of RCN
Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists: Chartered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, Member of HCPC, MCSP or COT
Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, Member of HCPC
