Sustainability Manager (12-month Fixed Term Contract) Location: Hybrid, London - This role requires two days a week in our London office. The Role Impellam is committed to reducing its environmental impact, and has set ambitious carbon emissions, air quality, energy, water, and waste reduction goals. KPIs related to these areas are reported internally and externally, including in the Annual Report in compliance with relevant regulations such as SECR. Additionally, selected KPIs undergo external assurance. Impellam is also planning to expand the scope of KPIs for external assurance in 2025, which will require robust data, systems, and processes. Critical to the success of meeting our ambitious science-based targets is the foundational work that needs to be put in place, and the launch and successful delivery on time of the global business initiatives that will impact our targets materially and positively. Responsibilities Provide oversight and regular reporting on progress against initiatives. Work collaboratively with the communications team to ensure successes and progress are celebrated and recognised internally and externally including customer facing updates in newsletters, QBRs and other client materials. Develop and support implementation of a robust supply chain sustainability management process collaborating with relevant function leads. Support reporting on scope-1&2 carbon emissions, scope-3 carbon emissions across the lifecycle, and air quality, energy, water, and waste. Support timely and accurate delivery of internal scorecards and external sustainability reports (Annual Report, Responsible Business Report, CDP, and other key questionnaires). Support commuting survey distribution, consolidation and report back on results. Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyse performance drivers and communicate progress against sustainability goals. Support the external assurance of selected environmental KPIs. Conduct an After-Action Review (AAR) with key stakeholders following the assurance process. Develop and implement remediation plans to address any issues identified during assurance. Follow up on the execution of these plans, ensuring that corrective actions are completed. Work with relevant teams to ensure systems, processes, and data are aligned with the expanded scope and ready for future assurance. Help evaluate more specific and/or more accurate carbon emission factors, e.g. supplier- or material-specific carbon emission factors. Scope out and set up reporting on new KPIs in the context of CSRD. Work with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, systems, and processes. Ensure reporting systems meet evolving regulatory and legal requirements, working towards reasonable assurance. Provide stakeholders with insights and data to support decision-making through dashboards and reporting tools. Model future sustainability progress by incorporating sustainability project data into performance projection. What Can We Offer You?
