A boutique, specialist law firm in Central London are seeking to recruit a Criminal Litigation & Regulatory Senior Associate Solicitor/Partner to join them.
You are required to have in excess of 6 years + PQE and working in a similar role.
You must have solid experience in Privately funded matters (no legal aid) and have recognition within this industry, have passion and enthusiasm for the commercial side of legal practice.
You will have solid experience in undertaking criminal defence and professional regulatory/disciplinary work, able to run your own caseload independently servicing professionals and HNW individuals.
This role would suit someone already a partner or someone at Senior Associate level ready for that next stage.
Salary indications £75,000 – £100,000 dependent on level of experience.
The successful candidate
Applicants will be able to demonstrate achievement at a leading firm, or specialist boutique firm, with a privately funded caseload. They will have name recognition within the industry and receive regular personal referrals and/or repeat client work.
A genuine enthusiasm for the commercial side of legal practice is key, motivated by the growth of the applicant’s client base, conversion of enquiries and acting in a delicate and pragmatic way when dealing with clients in difficult situations. Further, the applicant will be expected to talk about their commercial understanding of private criminal practice, their financial performance and their continued ability to meet targets.
The ideal applicant will be expected to run cases near-independently and achieve settlements/outcomes which are above the client’s and/or supervisor’s expectations. This will be achieved with an ability to think creatively about cases and prospective resolutions.
They will also be expected to supervise others, both formally and informally as a leader and role model.
The reputation and workload of the firm has grown considerably in recent years. The ideal applicant will be someone ambitious and creative who will contribute to the firm's development by seeking to engage in marketing and business development opportunities and develop their own profile both during and outside of working hours.
The potential for medium to long term rewards for such a candidate are significant.
It is essential that the successful applicant has excellent IT skills, including the advanced features of Microsoft Office and prior use of case management systems.
