We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Activity Lead to join our team and oversee the delivery of a wide range of stimulating activities for elderly residents and younger adults. The successful candidate will not only lead and coordinate activities, but also manage a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring the activities are tailored to the individual needs and preferences of the residents. Qualifications & Experience:
· Previous experience as an activity coordinator or in a similar role within a care home or social care setting, with at least 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
· Proven experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating a range of activities for diverse groups, including elderly individuals and younger adults with varied needs.
· A qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and inspire a team.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and the wider care team.
· A creative and flexible approach to activity planning, with the ability to adapt to different needs and interests.
· Experience in budget management and resource allocation is a plus.
· Ability to work independently and use initiative, as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
· Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care standards within a care home environment.
· Must have held a UK driving license for 2years as you will be require to use the mini-bus to take residents out and about.
