Job Description:
m2r Education are working with this training and development company who provide a range of public services, including employment support, skills training, and prison education. They are recognised as one of the Top 25 Education and Training providers to work for.
We are looking to recruit an Education Manager to lead and manage the Prison Education Framework to maximise contract performance, deliver quality provision, and exceed the expectations of partners and learners.
Role:
1. Developing the curriculum in line with needs of the prison population, local labour market, and employers.
2. Ensuring quality assurance and quality improvement processes and procedures are in place and that they develop and sustain a culture of continuous service improvement.
3. Agreeing and setting targets with staff members to ensure both financial and contractual obligations are met and exceeded.
4. Effectively planning and controlling income and expenditure to ensure a profitable business by maximising contract performance.
5. Ensuring that all contracts are run in accordance with external and internal procedures.
6. Recruiting, managing, developing, and maintaining discipline of staff employed in the department. Responsibility for health, safety, and wellbeing of staff and learners, maintenance, and security of the department in line with policy.
7. Adhering to safeguarding policies.
8. Maintaining and developing positive internal and external partnerships. Attend meetings with local partners as required.
9. Champion excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and behavior management strategies relevant to the custodial setting.
Requirements:
1. Relevant degree and/or professional qualification.
2. Teaching qualification.
3. Substantial teaching experience as well as evidence of continuous professional development.
4. Experience of Quality Assurance.
5. Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills coupled with the ability to manage own workload.
6. UK Right to Work.
7. Valid DBS.
