The opportunity
We are looking for a passionate IT Service Desk Manager to oversee a dedicated team tasked with providing top-notch IT support to the Openwork Partnership. It's essential to champion service excellence, guaranteeing that each call is handled with the utmost professionalism. You will devise straightforward and effective processes and procedures to streamline support, fostering a proactive "shift left" approach that enhances the customer experience.
Our IT Service Desk is at the heart of our business, therefore the successful candidate will need to be able to attend the Swindon office 4 days a week. What we offer:
1. Salary - up to £63,000
2. Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 10%

What you'll be doing:
9. Take overall responsibility for the team’s compliance with agreed ITIL processes, quality management, risk management and security policies and procedures
10. Oversee all operations of the service desk to ensure the provision of a first-class service to all colleagues and adviser firms.
11. Manage, motivate and develop staff to achieve stretch performance goals and targets.
12. Owning the resolution of all IT calls by working with other support teams.
13. Drive, monitor and promote the improvement of the performance and efficiency of the teams.
14. Proactively look at ways we can reduce call volumes by working with the Problem and Technical Training Manager.
15. Ability to organise and prioritise team workload in an effective manner.
16. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders ensuring customer satisfaction
What will you need to succeed?
17. Extensive experience of managing a Service Desk Team within different organisations.
18. Successful implementation of ITIL processes and procedures
19. Strong understanding of Industry best practices on Service Desk Management.
20. Strong technical foundation with excellent 0365, desktop and application support skills
21. Experience working with Financial Advisors or in a regulated environment.
22. Degree qualified preferred, and preferably MSc or the equivalent experience.
23. Experience using Assyst beneficial
24. Strong technical Desktop support, Microsoft 0365, and applications skills
25. Good understanding of Active Directory
26. First class communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders across all levels of business
27. Highly motivated person who is passionate about delivering an outstanding service.
28. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
29. Strong organisation skills and the ability to be self sufficient.
30. The ability to take ownership and have a proactive approach to problem management whilst utilising other teams and 3rd party providers.
