Presales Engineer - Penetration Testing
Location: London - Hybrid - 3 days a week in office
Salary: Up to £50-£55k base plus £10k bonus
PPRS are looking for a Presales engineer for our award-winning MSSP client with a reputation for innovation and excellence in CHECK and Crest Penetration Testing services spanning across 10 years. They serve Financial, Government and commercial sectors and this role will be positioned to support their expanding sales team by providing sound technical assistance as well as developing comprehensive and successful proposals and scopes of work to win more business.
This is an opportunity suited to someone looking to develop and hone their Presales capabilities as well as their broader Cyber knowledge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and sell our clients broader technology portfolio, including MDR & XDR services.
Core Responsibilities
Customer and Sales Support
1. Requirement Gathering: Understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable scopes and proposals.
2. Proposal Development: Creating compelling and competitive proposals in collaboration with the technical team.
3. Trusted advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales process.
4. Sales Enablement: Providing technical training and knowledge sharing to the sales team.
5. Client Interaction: Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through meetings, calls, and presentations.
Technical Expertise
1. Service Knowledge: Maintaining a deep understanding of Penetration Testing & Security Consultancy services.
2. Technical Proficiency: Addressing client queries and providing technical guidance.
3. Knowledge Sharing: Contributing to the overall knowledge base of the organization.
Essential Requirements:
1. Deep technical understanding of penetration testing, IT health checks, and security assessments across various platforms (Servers, infrastructure, applications, mobile, social engineering).
2. Proven ability to craft winning proposals and tender responses.
3. Proven experience in a presales focused role.
4. Strong knowledge of IT security best practices, compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials), and government IT health checks.
5. Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Industry sector experience (financial services, defense, government, etc.).
2. Relevant security certifications (CHECK, Crest).
