Your training and development will involve in-depth learning across a variety of subjects, including key building regulations, construction methodologies, site inspection processes, and specialised areas such as residential and commercial projects, as well as health and safety standards. Your training will equip you to successfully achieve key learning milestones while upholding the highest standards of knowledge and site experience for the construction industry. As a Trainee, you’ll play a essential role in NHBC's Construction Quality Services (CQS). You’ll assist in delivering Construction Quality Reviews (CQRs) and other CQS initiatives, directly impacting construction quality standards. Your work will involve gathering and analysing data on NHBC's performance and industry trends to provide actionable insights. This is a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to meaningful improvements in the construction sector. Assist in reviewing and recording build quality (CQRs, Bespoke Quality Inspections etc) Co-ordinate and plan work to maximise benefit and efficiency Ensure any bespoke project work is undertaken efficiently and effectively Assist with the analysis of historic, recent, and emerging issues with the standard of new homes Assist in quality related work to establish causation behind issues and develop action plans to raise standards, improve quality and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with NHBC and HSE requirements for personal safety and that of others Develop and maintain expert, up-to-date knowledge of all house-building technologies, methods and materials. The ideal candidate will have The ideal four candidates will exhibit hands-on experience in residential construction, showcasing a strong understanding of house building processes. They will have the ability to tailor communications effectively to engage diverse audiences. Responsibilities extend to: Some hands-on construction experience in residential house building. Able to tailor communications to meet the needs of the audience. IT literate and able to learn new software packages. Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Education and Qualifications - Completed or working towards a construction related qualification such as City and Guilds, HNC, HND or NVQ (or equivalent) - Ideal candidate to have construction knowledge or house building experience. - Membership of an appropriate recognised professional institute would be beneficial/ advantage i.e. CIOB/ CABE. - Full driving licence – this role requires frequent travel.
