Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic professional to join the Out of hours District Nursing Team, to provide leadership and have accountability for the day to day management of the Nursing Team working with a Deputy Team Lead. The post requires a high level of clinical expertise which has been developed through experience in practice. You will have oversight of the caseload and will apply your knowledge and skills in the management and delivery of complex patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for delivering and leading highly specialist clinical care to their own caseload and service within their speciality area. In doing so, they will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient centred programmes of care ensuring that they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge.
Person specification
* Registered General Nurse – Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent
* District Nursing Practitioner qualification with Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) or Advanced Clinical Skills and non-medical prescribing V300 supplemented by leadership programme
* Completion of leadership program
* Registered Mentor
Experience and Knowledge
* Specialist knowledge and experience – working at level 7 or equivalent
* Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, leading change and/or quality improvement
* Ability to undertake audits
* Experience and understanding of working in a community setting
