About the Role: As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2, ensuring smooth continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. You will work with children in Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, adapting to various year groups and subjects. Flexibility, strong classroom management, and an inclusive approach to teaching are essential for this role, as you will be expected to create an engaging learning environment for all pupils.
You will be supported by the senior leadership team and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality learning experiences for every child. The school is known for its creative and innovative approach to teaching, and you will play a key role in delivering this ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across all primary key stages (EYFS, KS1, and KS2), ensuring pupils’ learning continues in the absence of the class teacher. Maintain high standards of behaviour management and ensure a productive classroom environment. Provide feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and engagement. Work collaboratively with staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils. Adapt lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of the students, promoting a positive learning experience for all. Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience covering all primary key stages, including EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. A creative, inclusive, and engaging approach to teaching, with a focus on making learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment. Flexible, adaptable, and able to quickly adjust to different year groups and subjects. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Eligible to work in the UK (valid visa required).
