Salary: £28,513 - £31,022 FTE per annum including Inner London Weighting (£17,107.80 - £18,613.20 per annum for part-time, 22.2 hours per week)
Contract type: Temporary (From 1st October 2024 until 31st March 2026)
Here at Family Action, we have an exciting opportunity for new Support Workers to join our friendly Fuel Your Finances team, supporting people to reduce their financial pressures and stress - leading to improved mental health and wellbeing. The Fuel Your Finances project will be delivered in Tower Hamlets/Aldgate and Mansfield, working alongside food provision such as FOOD Clubs and Food Stores. We are looking for 2 Support Workers to work specifically in Tower Hamlets and Aldgate.
Your impact:
You will deliver face-to-face 1-2-1 sessions and group workshops in a wide range of community venues in Tower Hamlets or Aldgate (e.g. schools, children’s centres), achieving a range of positive outcomes including:
1. Increased income;
2. Reduced financial pressures and stress;
3. Increased skills, knowledge, and confidence around cooking, eating, and heating in an energy-efficient and healthy way;
4. Reduced energy use and savings on energy bills;
5. Increased awareness around energy safeguarding, gas safety, and the dangers of carbon monoxide, contributing to improved safety at home;
6. Increased awareness of and engagement with other local support services.
Your skills:
You will have experience of designing and delivering community-based activities that achieve positive outcomes for individuals and their families. You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and sustain relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
