Job Title: Registered Manager/ Senior Registered Manager (Children’s Service)
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Salary: £40k-60k per annum dependent on experience plus bonuses
Hours: Average 40 hours per week
Contract: Full Time Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead our 3 bedded Children’s Home located near Grantham. This is a really exciting opportunity for a current manager seeking a new challenge or an experienced deputy manager looking for the next step in their career to be an integral part shaping the home. We are committed to delivering therapeutic care to children and young people to provide them with the best emotional and physical environment to live in. Children and young people residing at the home may have experienced significant trauma and may have specific learning, physical and/or emotional needs. We are looking for someone who has a passion delivering therapeutic care and has previous experience in a similar environment.
Job Role:
1. To have full responsibility and to take a lead in the day to day running and oversight of the home.
2. To have full responsibility for the children and their welfare day to day, ensuring our therapeutic methods are being implemented at all times.
3. To have a full and active role in the recruitment of a staff team.
4. To give full support to the staff team to ensure they are competent in delivering the highest standard of care.
5. To deliver consistent high quality care and meet all Ofsted requirements.
6. To develop and encourage a fun and nurturing environment for the children and a progressive and coherent environment for the staff.
7. Oversee all safeguarding within the home and to be the home’s safeguarding lead.
Personal Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services as a minimum.
2. Experience in implementing therapeutic care.
3. Experience in managing teams and inspiring them.
4. Experience of safeguarding and liaising with multi-agency teams.
5. Experience of working with children/young people who have diverse physical and emotional needs.
6. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a supervisory position within residential children’s care.
7. Qualifications will include NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. (If not completed must be willing to work towards).
8. Qualifications and prior experience in implementing therapeutic models of care.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is necessary. All offers of employment are subject to pre-employment checks including satisfactory references, medical checks and proof of right to work in the UK.
