Housing Department Background:
Our Housing team is highly regarded for its legal conviction and advocacy, providing assistance to landlords and tenants on all housing issues. We handle both publicly funded and privately funded legal services in areas such as homelessness, eviction, and possession proceedings. Our solicitors are experienced in resolving housing disputes quickly and effectively.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
* Report directly to Department Director
* Maintain a professional, proactive approach with strong client care skills
* Assist with casework on public and private housing cases, including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and property ownership disputes
* Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
* Handle correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures
* Implement recommendations from monthly file reviews
* Ensure compliance with file management.
Key Skills Required:
* Passion and experience in publicly funded Housing Law
* Strong academic background with a Law degree
* Legal experience as a Housing Paralegal/Advisor
* Clear understanding and application of Housing Laws
* Business acumen and marketing ability
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Self-motivated team player
* Proficient in IT, familiar with Microsoft Office applications
